Guest Speakers: Edward Kavle, MD and Robert Woodard, APRN
Dr. Edward Kavle
and Robert Woodard from Torrington-Winsted-Canton Pediatrics
will be our guest speakers. They will help parents recognize the
signs of Attention Deficit Disorder in children with Autism
Spectrum Disorders. They will also discuss the available
treatments for ADD focusing on the research behind each
treatment and the implications for treatment. There will be an
opportunity for parents to ask questions.
Dr. Kavle is an American Board of Pediatrics certified
pediatrician who specializes in treating children with Autism
Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD and ADHD),
learning difficulties, asthma and allergies. He graduated from
Temple University School of Medicine and completed his
internship and residency at Children's Hospital, University of
Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Kavle served a fellowship at
Yale University School of Medicine before joining
Torrington-Winsted-Canton Pediatrics in 1998.
Mr. Woodard is Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing
Center in Pediatrics and has specialized in treating Attention
Deficit Disorder (ADD and ADHD), school problems, asthma,
allergy, and dermatology since joining Torrington-Winsted-Canton
Pediatrics in 1999. He received his B.S.N. from Wayne State
University and his M.S.N. and P.N.P. from Yale University School
of Nursing.

Directions to the A.J. Pappanikou Center for Developmental
Disabilities
The A.J. Pappanikou Center for Developmental Disabilities is
located in Suite 181 at The Exchange Office Park located at 270
Farmington Avenue in Farmington, CT.
From I-84 (East or West)
Take Exit 39 (if coming from I-84 West, Exit 39 is after 39A).
Turn right at the first traffic light onto Route 4 East
(Farmington Avenue). At the third traffic light, turn left to
enter the Exchange. Proceed to the first stop sign and turn left
into the parking area. Building Four (which has no sign) is the
first entrance on your right as you drive into the parking lot.
Enter the Exchange through the door for Building Four. Our
offices are in Suite 181 just inside the entrance on the first
floor.
From Farmington Center
Stay on Route 4 East/Farmington Avenue. As you drive up the hill
toward I-84, stay in the right lane and follow the signs as
Route 4 East/Farmington Avenue loops to the right and crosses
the I-84 access road. At the fourth traffic light, turn left
into The Exchange office complex. Proceed to the first stop sign
and turn left into the parking area. As you drive into the
parking area, the Building Four entrance (no sign) is the first
building on the right. Enter the Exchange through the door for
Building Four. Our offices are in Suite 181 just inside the
entrance on the first floor.
From West Hartford Center
Stay on Farmington Avenue/Route 4 West. The Exchange office
complex is about 3.3 miles on the right just past the Mobil
station and directly across from the UConn Health Center main
entrance. Turn right into the Exchange from Farmington Avenue
and proceed to the first stop sign. Turn left into the parking
area. Building Four is the first entrance on your right as you
drive into the lot. Enter the Exchange through the door for
Building Four. Our offices are in Suite 181 just inside the
entrance on the first floor.
