This free Employment Bulletin-Board is principally ABA focused. It is provided as a service to help prospective employees and employers find each other. CT FEAT reserves the right to reject any proposed listings.   Most listings will be removed after 6 months unless renewal is requested.

DISCLAIMER: CT FEAT reserves the right to edit or reject any proposed listings. CT FEAT does not recommend or endorse any of the employers or employees listed here. Neither can we verify the accuracy of the information they provide. Due to the tremendous demand for ABA services, many individuals make unwarranted claims of expertise in this field. Parents need to educate themselves regarding the minimal qualifications that an ABA provider should have. For more information on these qualifications, see the guidelines published by the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies. For a state by state listing of those who have met these minimal qualifications, check the "certificant registry" maintained by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

Although a formal credential in behavior analysis is evidence that a professional has met minimum competency standards, it does not guarantee that the individual has specific expertise in autism, nor that s/he can produce optimal treatment outcomes. Even those who do have autism training may be lacking the clinical depth and experience to provide appropriate treatment to a given age group, level of impairment, etc. Also keep in mind that the credentialing of professional behavior analysts has only been in place on an international level since 2000. So there may be some competent service providers who are still in the process of applying for BACB certification.

Note: The following list is chronological, with postings listed in the order in which they were first received.  Any subsequent revisions to an original posting will not affect its chronological placement.  These listings are not automated and must be screened and then posted by the CT FEAT volunteers who maintain this site. Hence, it may take as little as one week, or as long as two months, for a proposed listing to be processed and posted.

We are looking for an individual trained in working with teenage children on the autism/PDD spectrum.  Our 15 year old son has 'mild' autism, most likely Aspergers.  He is leaving the public school system soon to go to a smaller therapeutic school setting.  We are especially concerned that he receive a first class classical education experience.  By this we mean that he meet all milestones in each core subject area, and most importantly, learn to understand the joy of learning and education.  We would like an educational tutor who is trained either in ABA, or a special education professional to work with him 3 afternoons or evenings per week, for 1 or 2 hours per visit.  The ideal person will be able to supplement his private school education with age appropriate additional materials and will function primarily as a supplementary educator.  This person will also have access to all school personnel and educators.  Per hour salary is negotiable.  We do have 2 small dogs and cats.  Thank you.

We are looking for a live-in nanny to work Tuesdays through Saturdays.  We have 2 boys, 8 and 10. Our 10 year old has autism and needs a lot of help. The job is a typical nanny job (light housekeeping, cooking, driving, etc.) but definitely has an emphasis on taking care of our 10 year old who needs a lot of help and likes to go out for activities, etc. Both children are in school during the day.  Experience with children with autism is a huge plus.
